[Wordpress issuses] asimonetrelour on "Linking to a file on a local network"

Is it possible to create a link to a file rather than a url? Our blog is just for our organisation, so our users will almost always be onsite and connected to our internal network. I would like to include a link on one of the pages that opens a OneNote file on the local network. Is this possible? It doesn't matter if they are offsite and get an error message, as I can handle that separately.

Thanks!

The blog I need help with is bbcittraining.wordpress.com.
