You just need to enter the shortcode, nothing else. Alternatively, you may try to add it inside "HTML content" tab of a slide edit window. Do you have at least some kind of output? Please provide the link to page with slider.
I'm sorry, I can't assist much with third-party plugins, especially the one that are not popular and commercial.
