[Help Wordpress] Flip Card Effects

I asked you this on twitter today but I don't know if you'd rather ask me here...

It's not a dealbreaker or anything but we sure would like to be able to use css flip effects. We have a 1000px wide area we use 270px by 270px image cards and the nearby template. It would be killer if the center active image can be clicked on so it flips over to reveal another image or html. Does that make sense? So adding flip card effects to the nearby slider on active center slides. (not the side ones as that would get messy)
