[Wordpress issuses] newmelburnian on "Suburbia - post disappeared"

Hi my site is looking lopsided. I have 11 posts, it has displayed 10 but now the oldest post is missing from the home page (and has to be reached by "older posts"). I don't understand why the posts don't just keep accumulating on home page until all those slots are filled. Also I can't find out where "navigation" is located. I thought perhaps if I could find that I could tell it how many posts to display. [Not that I really do any telling, the theme pretty much tells me to jump and I ask how high :)]
Any advice much appreciated, thanks
deb

The blog I need help with is newmelburnian.wordpress.com.
