I cant upload the shopper press theme as I have no install themes option in appearance/themes. answer seems to be to change to custom install but advice seems to be to do this through dreamhost and I don't think I have used dreamhost at all so not appropriate to me.
I also have no idea how to follow the instructions for creating a multisite version.
