Stop cropping with responsive setup

I've read multiple threads on here about responsive resizing not working, and I've tried to follow the instructions, but no matter what I do, I can't get RoyalSlider to stop cropping the images when the browser window ges narrower. I have my width set to 100% with Auto scaling enabled and the correct size ratio I need (960 x 432). But RS keeps cropping the images so that they're unreadable / incomprehensible.
