I want to create a blog with the name IDAVIA, and the sistem says that blog name already exists (wwww.idavia.wordpress.com). I search it, and what I found is the following:
idavia.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
Is there any way I can use that name, with the basic blogging package? If it's not longer being used, and the authors have deleted it, it is supposed it can be reused...

I was wondering if anyone could help?
I have a page title with a 12 letter word "extravaganza", which I don't think is so unusual. However, the theme I am using does not fit it into one line on the drop down menu (see "shows"). It is currently is split into "extravaganz" on one line and "a" on the next which looks really messy.
Is there anyway of making the menu fit the word? It seems like this could be a fundamental fault in the theme design, as a 12 letter word is not so extraordinary!

It is always easier to answer questions that are relating to SPECIFIC URLs, ie those starting with http rather than hypotheticals.
It is almost invariably an advantage to have a private blog on which to test widgets and themes. To set a blog to Private, go to Settings->Reading on the dashboard of that blog.
To delete the blog, go to Tools->Delete and realize if you do this neither you nor anyone else will ever be able to use the content >OR the URL of that blog ever again.

What I am trying to avoid is to devalue the hourly worth of my time. I have a normal daytime job and this work is supplemental in addition to that. Think about this, why I would want a "second" job that only is worth minimum wage hours?

This website that I am promoting is a university academic topic. I am trying to target people who are like Computer Science students. Perhaps I should find some forums that have more of those types of people.

Hi,
I've been using the following custom markup with the default theme, but all I'm seeing is the header, which isn't being wrapped in the header tag — when viewing the raw source code the new markup is there, but viewing the live source code it isn't. Am I supposed to be using one of the templates to make this set of tags work?

Also, I'd ideally like to include my own CSS and base JS instead of Wordpress generated — I assume I just download the basic build without any modules (if using images and captions only), but how would I go about disabling the CSS/JS for just the specific slides I set up for the client — i.e. if they wanted to create their own, these new ones would include the styles and css as normal?

I need to auto generate a slider from posts that show the excerpy, and featured image in the slider and use the author of the posts avatar as the navigation. I can get the first part done, but there doesn't seem to be a hook for the avatar in here.

Hey guys , just installed this plugin for the first time and it looks good, i even manage to translate it, overall love it.
Just this message shows in the footer

Decided not to continue with WP-Forum (styling a bit faint and many other reasons) but found the delete routine did not tiday up properly.
If you decide to delete it, you'll need to manually drop its 7 tables from your database.
The Forums plugin scene needs a candidate between Simple:Press (far too overwhelming for our clients to navigate) and BBPress (too basic and a bit primitive looking.)
Vanilla discarded - depends on a remote server.
Tal.ki and Mingle discarded - too much flak around them.
Suggestions anyone?

Hi,
I have an installation of WP Forum server 1.7.5 on my WordPress website. I have 'Registration required to post' and 'Use Captcha for unregistered users' both ticked in the settings (although I assume the 2nd should be redundant if the first is ticked...)
However, my forum is getting spammed with junk posts, mostly from the 'guest' user. When on the forum home page, it says 'Welcome Guest, posting in this forum requires registration' but somehow spammers are getting around this.
I have searched and don't see other people reporting this problem, so hopefully I have done something wrong and some kind person can help me out ;-)
